Hi Heather,
Just found my time for the Turkey Trot....29:53! When I started Beach Bootcamp just a short time ago, I could not even make it a whole mile without walking a large part of it.
I have so much to be thankful for this holiday and you are a big part of it. Thanks so much for being so encouraging, kind, demanding and challenging!! I have been out of shape for the past few years and I finally feel like I have the chance to gain back my fitness and energy! I am begining to feel positive about myself again in this arena and I am so grateful.....see you next week!!

Hi Heather,
Just a note to say I am really enjoying the boot camp, actually a lot more than I had thought I would. Your energy and enthusiasm is great for me and my geriatric joints. I love the way you have modified so VERY many of my routines and still made me feel like an active part of the group. The folks I have met are all wonderful and that is a reflection of who YOU are. Looking forward to all the upcoming days and someday being able to actually run in the sand, with the wind in my hair, you trying to catch up with me and the music Chariots of Fire blasting from all around....

Hi Heather,
I walked home from class tonight feeling fantastic! I had to write and tell you that since I've started taking your classes, my own strength has not ceased to amaze me. But, more importantly, I would never have known I had that strength if you hadn't shown me. I am so impressed with your training expertise, your ability to modify any exercise to meet the needs of any individual, and the constant positive energy and encouragement that you maintain throughout every class. The consistency of the quality of your classes is truly superior.
As I mentioned tonight, people are really starting to notice a difference in the way my body looks. While I LOVE the changes I am seeing and feeling, I had no idea how much bootcamp would improve my self-esteem! I feel like a champ after every class! I also had no idea what a great place it would be to meet new friends and be encouraged by others.

Finally! I have found a workout that I absolutely love and look forward to. At this time last year, I was 47 years old, about 35 lbs overweight, and just plain bored and tired. I had pretty much convinced myself that that’s just how it was to be a middle-aged woman. That those extra lbs would probably always be with me, and although I was unhappy with my appearance I was willing to believe that my thighs would always rub together, and I’d be content with that extra flab around my stomach. After all, I’d earned it after raising two grown children, right? Wrong! Heather, as you know, I discovered your Beach Bootcamp during my daily walks with my husband on the Oceanside Strand. Last year, we decided it was time to get our acts together and try to get into shape. After several weeks of just walking by your classes, I decided to take one of the flyers off your car and finally took the initiative to email you. I wanted to try a class but was very concerned (afraid) that I would not be able to keep up because of my age. You called me personally and through our conversation you assured me that I would be able to work at a pace that was comfortable for me. It was scary, I will admit, to come to the first class but I am SO HAPPY that I pushed myself to go. It was hard!! I was sore!! But I kept coming and have been “committed and diligent” for 9 months. I’m not the strongest and I’m not the fastest, but I can definitely hold my own. Here’s the best part: I’ve lost more than the 35 lbs. I feel fantastic, I’m stronger, I’m running (not walking) approximately 15 miles a week, and my family is so so proud of me. Now at age 48, I’m honestly in the best shape of my life, physically and mentally. Like I said, I truly look forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays on the beach. Rain or shine (literally, we’ve had some fantastic workouts even in the rain) I know you are going to challenge me to try something new and dig a little deeper each class. Thank you for all your inspiration and constant encouragement. Like you always say, “See ya on the beach”.

I have been going to Cameron Fitness Beach BootCamp for almost 2 years. Every class has been challenging and Heather continues to push you to reach your goals. Not only has Heather helped me in class, but she also helped me complete a goal of finishing a marathon. For 6 months we trained together, every Sunday morning running up and down the coast. When it came to race day, my body was in shape, but my mind played tricks on me. Heather met me at mile 13 and ran with me all the way to the finish line. There is no way I could have completed the race without her support. Thanks Heather!

Hey Heather! I did get into the Officer Candidate Program for the Marine Corps and I leave October 1st which is so exciting. Now you can tell everyone you got an officer candidate in shape! Have a great week.

I normally play tennis once a week and had a cancellation which allowed
me to attend your Thursday evening class a couple of weeks ago. I
really enjoyed the varied workout and appreciated your upbeat,
encouraging attitude and the variety of activities which served to make
the time go by quickly. When I played tennis the following Thursday, I
was pleasantly surprised to notice how much better I was moving
laterally, forward and backwards on the court, while keeping my torso
in ready position. Truth is, I felt like I was moving like a gazelle
in all directions and was able to hit effective shots and recover for
the next compared to barely getting the ball back and being out of
position. In particular, I could feel my strength and balance under
control while stretching for shots which enabled a stronger follow
through and more effective shots. I ended up beating a tough lefty
opponent pretty handily, who normally beats me. Thanks for the fun
effective workout and I hope to make it to more of them as my schedule
allows, particularly since I now know that even just one workout can
make a difference for me!

I just wanted to let you know that since I started your Beach Bootcamp seven weeks ago, I've gone from a size 7 to a size 5! I also notice that all my muscles are really starting to tone up. I notice it most in my legs and my butt!!! Before I started your classes, I was really depressed. Now my moods are so much better and I feel happier. Your classes have made me feel better inside and out!

I had been going to Heather's Thursday stroller class at the Pier for about a month when I finally decided to start a 6 week Bootcamp program. It has been the best decision regarding my health that I have ever made. I feel better than I have ever felt in my life! Heather is an amazing trainer and more than that an amazing person. I just finished my first 6 weeks and I am such a different person physically and mentally than I was before I started this course. Right before I got pregnant, I was diagnosed with asthma and as my hormones changed it got worse. Since starting this class, I have been able to build more endurance and it has really helped me manage my asthma. I can now walk and workout for longer periods without having to worry about breathing difficulties. I really feel good about myself and much more confident in myself as well. Although this is a "group class", I always feel like she helps each person individually in reaching there target goals. She is always right there to challenge you and give positive feedback on your progress. She has a radiating positive energy to her and it is hard not to want to happily workout when you are around her. She really is an exceptional trainer and I would definitely recommend her to everyone!

I have been coming to Heather’s boot-camp for about six weeks now. Besides dropping two sizes I no longer have constant back-pain from carting my 7-month-old around, I have much longer endurance, I sleep better, and I feel better! I love coming to work-out with other women who are in the same life-stage I am in. Heather is always warm and inviting, but will lovingly push you to your max. There is no way I could accomplish these same results in a gym! Before joining this boot-camp working out was a dreaded chore. Now I am hooked and I love working out!

I started Bootcamp to firm and tone, but within the first 6 weeks I was pleasantly surprised to find that I had built muscle. Heather's program targets the whole body. The strength I've gained has brought my dance and running to a higher level. Thanks Heather!

As you recall when I first joined your class I had just been to the doctor
regarding a problem with my left knee. The doctor suggested physical therapy or
doing vigorous exercise to strengthen the problem area. The doctor thought the
problem would take several months to clear up but gave me the green light for
exercise.
Today the problem is 99% gone. The exercises you use in your classes
have done the trick and my leg strength has substantially improved.
